Port Louis

Situated at the mouth of Lorient harbour, on the left bank of the Blavet river, Port Louis is a historical town associated to Brittany’s cities of Art and History.

With its magnificent citadel and 17th Century ramparts, Port Louis reveals an eventful and colourful past. Under King Louis XIV, the first headquarters of the East India Company was established in the Walled City.
